Our beloved friends, Rigg & Jeanne
Rigg & Jeanne and our two little wiggle wormsIt's been nearly three years since we've seen our friends, Rigg and Jeanne. They have mentored and discipled Young and I over the years and God has uniquely blessed the closeness of our relationship with them. It's certainly not a normal thing for people to be best friends with people old enough to be their parents (and vice versa), but in this relationship that is the case. We stopped asking "why" this has worked this way a long time ago and merely know that it is God's providence and blessing in giving us such wonderful friends!
We were grateful to have them spend 8 wonderful days with us over the Thanksgiving holiday. Young was also able to take the entire time off from work which was a blessing as well. While we did make a trip to Disneyland/CA Adventure and Rigg & Young went to Magic Mountain, for most of the time we just visited (& ate at In & Out, Baja Fresh and Jack in the Box...all resturants they don't have in FL). We also had an evening of fellowship with several others friends in the area (just seemed better than trying to talk to everyone at church!). All in all it was a wonderful visit and yet not long enough (Guess that's when you know you really like the people, huh?). Lord willing it won't be three years again before we see them! Resolved in June, right guys? :)
